People - did you actually read the article?

Do you understand that Cook was NOT PAID "that amount of money" for the year. Typical twist on the actual outlay and intent of such a stock grant / option.

The leverage that his award can bring shareholders if it actually turns into big bucks for him is both the reason and the value of such a rewards - it would be huge for employees and shareholders of Apple, and aligns the executive with the "owners" of the company.

All the Apple zombies are morons to keep paying these prices that pay someone this much money. If they can pay there employees this lavishly maybe they could think about the consumer just a little and drop the prices of there products down a tad. Steve Jobs was the only one entitled to make this kind of money. I refuse to buy over priced Apple products, others should think about it to.
